FAQ

FAQs

Q1: How is dehydrated food different than freeze-dried?

Dehydrated food is more compact and lighter than freeze-dried options. For example, our 4-serving bags are about the same size as a regular 1-serving freeze-dried pack, allowing you to carry more food in less space and weight.

Q2: What’s the difference between Regular and Large?

The Regular option is our standard serving size for dinners. The Large option includes 30% more servings than Regular, giving you a bigger portion per bag. Large is only available for dinner products.

Q3: How do I choose the Serving Size?

Serving Size refers to the number of servings per bag and applies to all products. Simply select how many servings you want, and we’ll pack your bag accordingly.

Q4: Can I order in bulk for expeditions or group trips?

Absolutely! We can accommodate bulk orders for expeditions, group trips, or special events. Just let us know your needs, and we’ll help you pack the right quantities and serving sizes to keep your team fueled while minimizing weight and space.

Q5: Do you have a storefront?

No. You can order online and pick up at the Canmore Legion free of charge during their normal opening hours. Alternatively, visit our fresh produce market on Mondays 3–6 PM in the basement of the Canmore Legion to see a variety of our dry products.

Q6: When will my order be ready?

Orders are processed within 7 days. You’ll get a notification when they are ready to pick up or shipped. For faster processing, email info@peakeatsfood.com. Same-day processing is sometimes possible, but check first.

Q7: How long does shipping take?

Flat-rate shipping is $15 (free over $150) and usually takes 4 business days. Remote locations may require an extra day. Overnight shipping is available—contact us for details.
